Whale Watching in Vilankulos

Roughly between mid June to the end of October humpback whales (Megaptera Novaeangliae) migrate through the archipelago in very large numbers and one is almost guaranteed to see many during a whale watching trip. These whales which can range between 12 to 16 meters and weight about 35 tones are probably the most playful and extremely popular with whale watcher´s the world over. At Bazaruto they are regularly seen breaching, tail & fin slapping, lob tailing and spy hopping. At other times they can be seen just chilling at the surface giving the more adventurous the lifetime experience of snorkeling with them. This trip can be combined with a Island trip, snorkeling and ocean safari.
