Bazaruto Fishing October ’25 Season Update: thanks for the update Duarte!

It’s been awesome and one just feel the season is starting to get into a rhythm and that bigger fish are moving in – about it but it really has been good fun!!!

There were some more fish and Brodewoke lost a very big Black on Thursday as well which they fought into the night and Rio 2 got a #600 Black a few days ago…

And this is what happened yesterday and a few pictures from the day before…

Started on Vamizi with D.A & Fisher from Texas yesterday.

Really cool guys and so looking forward to next week with them but unfortunately will have to wait for this front to blow itself off…

Went out wide in the morning but very quiet out there so made our way at noon and in 150m just north of VI mile got a small Blue that jumped the hook off. About an hour later, had the baits out as well as a rappie with a daisy chain when a #300 Black took that on the bait stick!!! Go figure – as D.A said elephants do eat peanuts.

Then at 2pm on the dot and not 100 meters from where we got the bite the previous day, we got a bite on the swim, D.A did a great job hooking it up and Fisher on the wire for the release…

D.A and Fisher from Texas with their first Bazaruto Black – might it be the first of many for the week ahead!

Ben and @deantaylor fished south with our other group Wolfgang & the gang – they were unlucky to have missed a Black and two sails but did catch some good wahoo and some other game fish aboard Drop Your Rods & Game Changer

After greatly enjoying fishing for four days with Jamie & Ann aboard VAMIZI, they have now started on our sister boat IBO with Alex but had no luck yesterday.

Otherwise, the rest of the small fleet….

@ryanwilliamsonmarlincharters got a Blue real early, then a striped and missed a #700 Black on a lure aboard Reel Screamer

@brucecookefishingcharters went 1 from 2 on Blues releasing a #400 (pic 2) and Veleiro caught a 300 Black caught on a lure and a #500 miss on the skip.
