Bazaruto Diaries Big Fish Season October 2025: We have had flat calm days so far this season but finally we got a massive blow from the SE which is a good thing to shake it up and hopefully bring more big girls into the area – not that the fishing has been bad, actually it’s been pretty epic out there!

So, while we sit on land lets update on the fishing and in four days with Chris Rance we managed to raise 11 fish, had 9 bites, 6 hookup´s – where really unlucky to pull the hooks on three fish and released 3 Marlin

1 from 1 on a Black today aboard VAMIZI

Good bite out wide this morning on Blues, not so much for us as we watched people hooking up around us but could not find one 😉

But made up for it on the way back getting Chris his first Black for the trip and we also had some fun on the light tackle getting 8 wahoo and 3 dorado.

Not sure on all the fish but know that Peri Peri, Grande Azul, Reel Screamer got a Blue each, Marlin got 2 Blues and Cujo got a striped Marlin

Last day for Chris tomorrow, hopefully we can find another….

Those wahoo were fun to catch but even tastier later that day!!!

Out wide @ 9am on the spot and we the most insane inside out short corner bite on the big tube by @pulsatorlures on a nice one looking every bit of #700.

One of those that before it comes out the clip you know you going to hookup – except we did not! 30 seconds later fish explodes on the long right but missed the lure altogether and as it does a smaller fish around 350 piles on the other long and we hookup.

We still carried on a wide turn trying to get the bigger fish to bite but no such luck.

Just then to the outside of us Reel Screamer also hook´s up.

We were unfortunate to pull the hook on the fish 20 meters from the boat – the third we have lost close to the boat in the last four days with Chris Rance.

He raised 11 for the trip with 7 bites (all on lures), 6 hookups´s and released 3.

Overall slower day for the fleet with a bit if an easterly blowing but it’s been awesome out there and already looking forward to tomorrow starting with Jamie Nance.
