EPIC last day for D.A. and Fisher and Fisher: Duarte checking in again…!

So far it had been a really good trip with D.A and Fisher and we had now released 7 out of 10 and saw 14 but we were missing a good one…and we did!

The 27th of November 2025 and we raised a total of 7 fish for the day, got 5 bites and released 2 fish at #200 and #800 and missed another big girl!

Epic day to finish off D.A and Fisher´s trip and we did find the right one…

Lots of bait in the shallow up north and for some cutas and Kawas on the bait rods in the morning…

Put the dead baits out and not much time we had one knock the swim bait outside Aladdin’s early morning but there was no pick up

Thirty minutes later we hooked another, also on the swim and released it at #200 on the inside of Aladdin’s.

Small but feisty one released early morning aboard VAMIZI on D.A and Fisher’s last day which was an epic one to finish it off with 5 bites and two releases up to 800 pounds.

It looked promising but with the big outgoing tide coming through we knew we could not fish there much longer and shortly decided to put the lures to go south and finish off at V mile and Giants area later in the day.

As we made our way south with the current and shallow of the bottom end of Nine Mile we had a fish come on the short left twice but did not find steel.

Changed to the dead baits as soon as we got to VI Mile and I decided to make a shallow tack to the inside of V mile.

Right there, exactly where we caught 3 fish this last week (old giants) we had a bite and hooked up.

It never jumped initially but we could feel this was a whole new animal.

Eventually she jumped in the distance and she was a good 800, difficult fish, D.A really put on the heat and Fisher did a brilliant job on the leader on what was probably his biggest fish on the wire to date and we let her go at a conservative #800.

Unfortunately there was a lot of crazy shit going on and we never got a picture of it!

Fuck yeah….awesome stuff!

But no time to waste and we put them out!

An hour and a half later we had a crazy bite on the big swim.

It sounded like the rigger had broken.

D. A missed the hook the first time, she came again and a third time and it loaded.

She put her head out the water and she was another nice one but unfortunately she was probably either wrapped or just holding on to the bait and pulled off!

Twenty minutes later we had a little guy get all wrapped up on the skip bait and on our last tack raised another, also on the skip but got no bite out of it.

Strenue down south also got a good fish at #500, well done @warrenchapman71 and Cujo went 1 from 2

What a way to finish a truly memorable charter!

And already looking forward to fishing with D.A again, first in Brazil next February and back at Bazaruto at the end of October 2027!!!

Nice mid range Black caught aboard Strenue

EPIC DAY TO FINISH A EPIC TRIP!
