D.A & Fisher epic trip with 9 Marlin to #800 pounds: The last week with D.A and Fisher was pretty epic and lots of good fun and laugh’s in and out the water.
In the past 6 1/2 days we raised 21, with 15 bites, hooking 12 of those and releasing 9 up to 800+ pounds
True to Bazaruto Style, and how many places can say this, we caught them on the skip and swim baits, on live baits, on lures and even one on the bait rods.
And, if we had done so we would have caught a few on bait & switch as well!!!
With 7 up on the baits, yesterday was such a special day and it was so good to get a proper one although it could have been so much better as we were really unlucky to miss another nice one!

Words cannot describe Bazaruto island and the fishery it provides. I’ve been blessed to fish all around the world, Bazaruto has entered my top three fishery’s of all time (Great Barrier Reef, Brazil, and now Bazaruto). They are all three unique and magical in their own way. But there is something different about Bazaruto. I can’t explain it now, once the dust settles on this amazing trip I’ll have better words to describe it. Duarte and his crew one of the most professional operations along with his true passion and dedication to fishing, one of the best in the world that I’ve fished alongside. Anantara resort on bazaruto island is 5 star, from the accommodation, staff, amenities, and food, first class all around. This place is magical, the dunes, the people, the fishery. I will be back, many, many times throughout my life. Thank you @fishbazaruto for a trip of a lifetime and an experience I will never forget. Cheers until I see you in Brazil, and back in Bazaruto. Catching fish is secondary, the experiences, camaraderie, anticipation, and chase. That’s why we do it!
Next year we will fish with D.A in Brazil. I have been blessed to fish most of the big fish destinations I have always dreamed about and this is one that has been on the books for a while and one of the remaining ones that has been high on the list!
And so looking forward to having D.A back here in October 2027, dates are set!
