November Black Marlin – 600 for Mike & 700 for Warren
November Black Marlin – 600 for Mike & 700 for Warren: Back to back great fish with a 600 and a 700!!!
Sadly due to personal issues I had to fly out to Europe and thus the lack of reports.
Unfortunately I will not be able to get back until the end of the season at the end of this week.

1 from 1 on IBO today on Mike Goch’s last day #600
Mike who is a great loyal client and friend got in for a couple days fishing with Alberto aboard IBO at last minute notice.
He literally phoned me a week or so ago asking if anyone had any availability and amazingly we had a few days open on IBO.
On his first day he released a#200 Black and pulled the hook on a nice size Blue
Black Marlin released aboard IBO on Mike Goch first day, earlier he had pulled the hook on a nice Blue out wide!
After all the action but few hookups for the small fleet out wide yesterday, today it went rather slow for most.
The boys aboard IBO had not seen one the whole day and were literally on their last tack. Coming into II mile and about to take the baits out in 30 meters of water.
Then a nice looking fish showed but missed the bait.
Even being in such shallow water the boys carried on and in almost 25 meters of water (how insane is that) the fish came back, this time on the swim and hooked up.
You just never know…
It’s special when you hook up to a nice one literally on the last seconds of your last day.
Mike got into the chair and brought the estimated 600 pound fish for a release!!!
Well done Mike & Alberto on a great fish!
Way further south at San Sebastian aboard Warren Chapman’s STRENUE they also got a nice one they called #700.
They hooked the fish on the swim bait in 180 meters of water and said it was an amazing high jumping crazy fish that gave them as much fun as one can have without getting naked! 🙂
Pretty fish and they send me some amazing footage airborne in flat calm seas which I will post sometime soon.
Wild 700 pound Black Marlin caught aboard Strenue…
At the moment we got three groups on all our boats.
Mike Goch aboard IBO with crew Alberto & Americo who just finished with a 600 on the last day!
We also have Carlos Yidi and Roberto from Columbia fishing on Drop Your Rods with @christiaankruger.
They went wide and despite having fished all over neither had a Striped Marlin before but managed to release two out of Bazaruto the last couple days.
One of two striped Marlin caught by Carlos & Roberto from Columbia aboard Drop Your Rods – this one one the Marlin Magnet by @pulsatorlures
And then we have Duncan MacGregor and his sons, James and Malcolm fishing aboard VAMIZI with Alex and Lourenco.
They are no strangers to these waters and we have had some amazing days aboard VAMIZI in the past.
They were really unlucky to have missed and pulled the hook on four Blues including two decent ones but finished it off with this decent Blue…
Good Blue released aboard VAMIZI by Malcolm MacGregor out wide of the Bazaruto Archipelago
Up next we have Nick Chalk’s gang from the UK on IBO & VAMIZI for the next 5 days.
The boys have done a bunch of trips to the Archipelago to fish with us but not for the last few years.
Really sorry not to be there to see and enjoy a great time with the lads, such great guys!
Good luck boys…
