Nick Chalk & the gang finish it off with a #800 Black Marlin
Over the last week of November we had Nick Chalk and the lads over from the UK.
We have had some brilliant times with the gang but they had not been back for a few years and although the bite had slowed down from what it had been a couple weeks back the boys still got some real good fishing and ended it up with a #800 pound Black Marlin just to put the icing on top of another memorable trip.
Their last trip with us had been in 2017 which was a really good big fish year with very consistent fishing and the boys raised 9 during their 5 day trip going 5 from 5 including Black Marlin of 800, a 700 and a 400…
Here’s a report of that trip;
This time around they started on the 25.11.25 and here is the report…
Vamizi 2 from 2 on Black Marlin
First day with Nick Chalk & the gang and the boys got a little one on the bait rod, right of the bat, literally while putting the lines out.
Then and just like the previous day on IBO, they got one on the last tack coming in at the top end of II mile which they let go at #350.
Veleiro had a great one out wide a few days ago, going 3 from 4 releasing two Blues out of a double and a striped out of a double as well – all small fish but mostly on the pitch which is really cool!
Some absolutely gorgeous looking weather from tomorrow…
The next day the boys went for a barbecue day at Paradise Island but were back at it on the 27th and…
IBO 1 from 1 on Black Marlin
Again, the top end of II mile being the happy place and again on the magic queenie swim bait!
So happy for Frankie that got the fish, Nick who’s group and mates it is and the crew Alberto & Americo – well done boys, you guys make me proud.
The 28th was the boys last day and they ended it in style with a #800 Black Marlin
Nick Chalk & the gang finish it off with a #800 Black Marlin – Proper end to the season with 800 plus fish released and missing a bigger fish right at the end of the last proper day of the season!
So yeah great to have a nice one on the last day and unlucky to have missed another nice one!
Two live skipjack early this morning and this nice fish takes it but after a few jumps comes undone and goes for the second bait and they hook it up and release it at #800.
In the afternoon another very nice looking fish, Alex says probably bigger, took the swim bait and was on for a while but obviously the hook had never set as it pulled after a while.
Looking forward to seeing the boys back in 2027
That’s it for an absolute cracker of a season…
We still got a few more charters and I am sure there will be some Marlin fishing in between but mostly we have charters for guys wanting to do popping for GT’s!!!
Right on!
