Report 30.03.26 – Last available slot’s for Bazaruto’s Heavy Tackle Season 2026: It’s hardly 5 months to go into Mozambique’s Heavy Tackle Marlin Season, that time of year we all anxiously wait for and with the two absolute blasters we had the last two seasons we expect another pearler for the archipelago this year.
The season will kick off pretty early for us this year with the first heavy tackle charters starting in late August.
However despite having one boat already completely fully booked for the season both our 31ft Gulfcraft and 38ft SuperCat still have a couple of slots available as per dates below.
SEPTEMBER 2026
8 to 15 on 31ft VAMIZI
11 to 18 on 38ft DUR
OCTOBER 2026
12 to 22 Oct on 31ft VAMIZI
NOVEMBER
25 to 30 Nov on 38ft DUR or 31ft VAMIZI
On the 31ft, we offer all inclusive packages at Anantara on Bazaruto Island and, for maximum comfort, recommend groups of up to 3 anglers.
This is also a great option for those wanting to target GT’s on poppers, for vertical jigging, fly fishing or mixing it up.
On the 38ft which will be Captained by Christiaan Kruger we can offer accommodation options both, on the mainland or the Island.
