Welcome to Mozambique´s Bazaruto Archipelago, one of the world’s best Giant Black Marlin fishing destinations.

Going into our 27th Season on the Bazaruto Archipelago, we invite you to step aboard one of our 31ft fully rigged sport fishers for a fishing experience of a lifetime. Vamizi has been Mozambique´s top billfish boat for two decades, and more Grander (1000 pound +) Black Marlin have been caught/released aboard her than any other vessel in Africa. Blue and Striped Marlin can also be caught out wide, and the by-catch of other species such as sailfish, wahoo, Yellowfin tuna, dorado, cuda, Giant Kingfish and others makes this an extremely versatile and exciting destination.        

We cater for experienced and novice anglers alike, and for those interested in making the most of the Archipelago’s diversity, we are happy to combine & package for other forms of fishing such as plugging for GTs, vertical jigging, drop shot, fly fishing, light tackle spinning & conventional light tackle trolling.

Please note that these packages are not restricted to the above options and we can customize any package on request (number of nights & fishing days). Non-Anglers also benefit from these accommodation discount rates.

Rate Includes:

  • Full board / all-inclusive accommodation (as per package option) @ Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort & Spa
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner & soft drinks, bottled water, house wine, local beer and selected house spirits, tea & coffee, selected mini bar items.
  • One authentic Dhow cruise experience per person per stay & and special amenities for key celebrations
  • Full day (10 hour) fishing (as per package option) on one of the resort’s 31ft Gulf craft walk-around Sport fisher. (8 hour and 6-hour charters also available)
  • Fishing charters includes: Fuel, Captain & crew, meals, beverages, equipment and conventional terminal tackle.
  • Non-motorized Water sports activities / equipment
  • Emergency medical evacuation  

Rate Excludes:

  • International/domestic flights ex Vilankulos Airport
  • VISAS & Arrival/departure taxes
  • Return Boat Transfers from Vilankulos to the Resort (+- 50 mins)
  • Return Helicopter Transfers (+- 15 mins)
  • Specialized and/or Premium brand beverages
  • Food & Beverage services to Villas
  • Laundry
  • Motorized Watersports or Activities unless specified
  • Gratuity and All items not stated above
  • National Park Reserve Fee´s at $15 per person per Stay and National Park Fishing licenses

  • Please contact us for package options outside these periods
  • Rates quoted are in USD and are per person
  • Rates are applicable in Beach Villas (Beach Pool villas & Deluxe family Seaview Pool Villas rates available on request).
  • Standard child policy applies
  • 25% deposit required to confirm any booking / Remaining Balance to be paid 90 days before arrival.
  • Cancelation Policy: 90 days before arrival 50% refundable / 30 days before arrival non-refundable
  • The above packages are payable in advance to specified bank account
  • Any extra charges incurred at Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort & Spa will be charged in Mozambican Meticais at standard rates
  • The above packages include standard fuel consumption at current prices
  • Any increase in National fuel prices will attract a surcharge to these rates
