900 pound Black for Denise Whistney
We started with Mark David on the 10th of November and got right into it catching two fish before 8am and ended the day going 2 from 5 and raised another one
Really messy bites and crazy messy seas this morning as we went out with a combination of easterly and outgoing tide!
We got right into it and hooked two back to back fish before 7h30 am and then had a few more, all small and two, one on the swim and the other on the skip, got all wrapped on the leader on the bite and started jumping even before loading.
Anyway, small or not as Mark put it any day you catch one (or two) is a good day!
Otherwise it was pretty slow all round, Veleiro got a #200 on the skip, DUR lost a little one and raised another, Cujo released a sailfish and Suli Suli released a #700 right next to us – that’s all the boats I know where fishing!
The next day was a special day for Denise that got her biggest fish to date and that is saying a lot…
He really deserved a nice one and could not be happier for @christiaankruger who’s fishing with our guests @fishbazaruto aboard Drop Your Rods and got his biggest ever fish at #bazaruto for Denise Wishney personal best Marlin (and she’s got a few hundred under her belt) at #900 on a swim bait this afternoon.
Funny story: we where fishing alongside each other all day and Christiaan had told me he run out of swim baits and was pulling the lures.
I had a couple spare and sent it across to him.
He put the baits out and BUMMMM…
Hooked up on the swim bait I had sent them!
Brilliant…
It’s slowed down the last couple days in numbers but there’s some nice ones around for sure and that’s all it matters!
This morning we saw Suli Suli hook up to what looked like a serious one, could not get them on the radio but think they pulled the hook…but it moved some serious water!
Cujo went 1 from 1 on a #500 also on the swim
Only a few boats fishing and a couple more smaller fish released and it was just absolutely beautiful out there, flat calm, beautiful water and loads of bait all over the place up north.
BEAUTY!!!!
