Cuda Crazy with FishBazaruto.com
Cuda Crazy with FishBazaruto.com: Misty mornings, fairly warm weather around 23c to 24c, flat seas with a light breeze from the NE or the SE and awesome fishing is what is on the Bazaruto Archipelago and…..lots and lots of cuda!!!
Cuda feast…
It’s been 2 ½ months of solid fishing with some of the best light tackle fun we can remember and the diversity has been right up there….
While I was away, Christiaan took Drop Your Rods out last Friday and went 1 from 2 on Black Marlin, 2 from 5 on Sailfish….
Put small video here
Then we had Chris Rolfe and his gang for a few days and as it has been the weather was perfect with a light breeze from the NE.
Unfortunately, the northerly had turned the water on the greener side and although we still got a few good ones, the incredibly fast action we have had on the wahoo for the last two months had slowed down!
Worst was that as it happens it made the bills very lazy and we missed and pulled the hooks on a few including a nice size Black Marlin.
But apart from a few wahoo, dorado and tones of bonnies it was slow on the troll…
But we made up for it with some good jigging sessions with lots of bludgers but most of all we had some amazing cuda fishing on the live jube jube´s and the dead one´s trolled on the #pulsatorlures banana chin weights.
It was insane fast nonstop action with multiple and even triple strikes on many king mackerel, a truly…
cuda feast…
We finished the trip off with a nice first GT for #Geoffmatthee!
Good fun, awesome boat, great guys to fish with, delicious food, cold beer, flat calm weather, fast fishing and a…
Cuda feast…
What else!?!
Here´s a few pics from the trip!!!

Cuda Feast… the boys with some of many cuda caught and some released during their mid-July trip to the Bazaruto Archipelago. Although we did not catch huge crocodiles that were so abundant in May and June, the numbers were outstanding and the action cool & fast!
Heading off from Vila Do Paraiso aboard the 38ft Drop Your Rods for another flat calm action-packed light tackle fishing day of the Bazaruto Archipelago
It’s a wild world down there…
…especially when after taxing you big cuda the taxman gets taxed by an even bigger taxman!!!!
It was a cuda feast but also with a few good other species to steal the limelight including some dorado and the ever-present winter wahoo
Jigging sessions produce a variety of fish with many bludger trevally which have been around in very good numbers
Another fantastic day on the water…

On the last day´s afternoon Geoff got his first ever GT…

And talking about cuda, how´s this for a photograph Chris Hamel (on the right) sent me of an absolute monster of a crocodile of 34.5 kg caught aboard Savuka off Sodwana Bay on a live bonnie on the 5th of July…
