Early November ‘25 report – Unbelievable Marlin Fishing at Bazaruto: The bite just keeps getting better and after a week where a fish of 800 pounds or better has been caught every single day by the small fleet Veleiro got a 900+ pound fish on a live skipjack on the 31st October, that they fought for just over 3 hours.

A really nice one that Morgan called the strongest fish he had ever come across, it was the angler, Herman, first time in the chair. The fish only jumped three times about 10 minutes after hookup and they never saw it again for 2h45 mins and only got the leader for the first time 3 hours into it!

Morgan’s O’Kennedy 27ft Veleiro right into the thick of things as they fought a hard 900 plus fish for 3 hours before releasing it. We where right next to them and managed to get this pic early into it…

Then the next day, the 1st of November was another epic one with Vamizi, after having 6 lazy fish up managing to release one for little Duarte

Warren and Sophie Stead fishing on their boat Rocksteady with Bruce surely had one of those absolute epic days going 4 from 6 including a #600 and a #800 – well done guys & Gal – absolutely brilliant!

There was also many other fish seen and caught on the day including one from three for Reel Screamer, one from one for Grande Azul and Cujo lost a real nice one on a live YFT.

The next day, the 2nd November felt a tad slower which might have been the low pressure with a big SE wind blowing in the afternoon. It was the first day for many that a fish of 800 or better was not caught by the small fleet.

Aboard VAMIZI we got 1 from 2 for Carl Jankowitz, unfortunately missing one about #600 on a live bonnie.

We then got a big YFT live bait and persisted until real late. By the time we decided to give up and head home at around 3h30pm it was blowing well over 30 knots and everyone had a long run for shelter.

To say we pushed a bit and had an interesting ride home is an understatement!

There where a couple more small fish caught and a few lost but the day’s best fish was a #400 caught on a skip bait aboard Grande Azul

As expected after the previous day’s huge blow the next day, the 3rd November was a blowout but we were back there on the 4th.

It was really messy in the morning and the water had turned real bad down south where the fleet had been having all the action the previous week.

Aboard VAMIZI, we decided to put the lures and head north and on the way picked up a Sailfish.

The when we finally got up north we put the baits out for the last couple hours and got one from 2 bites, getting another one for Carl Jankowitz

The best fish for the day was a #700 released aboard Kingfish!

Weather looks absolutely beautiful from tomorrow…
