Happy new year from FishBazaruto everyone, wishing you all a great 2026…

It’s not only what you catch, but how you catch it & the people you do it with…

D.A and Fisher had an amazing first trip to Bazaruto last October catching 9 Black Marlin to 800 plus pounds. The boys raised a total of 21 Marlin, with 15 bites and 12 hookups in 6 fishing days!

One of the season highlights was little Duarte catching his third Marlin (first in the chair) during Carl Jankowitz’s charter who released a really nice one on his last fishing day!

Our good friend and loyal client Mike Goch came on a last minute short trip to Bazaruto in late November and released a few good fish including a 600 on his last tack of his last day!

Peter and Denise Whistney come all the way from California-USA on their first trip to the Bazaruto Archipelago to target Giant Black Marlin.

They fished with our 38ft SuperCat “Drop Your Rods” with Capt. Christiaan Kruger and caught some real nice fish including Denise’s personal best (and she has caught a few hundred)  fish at 900 pounds!

A very special thank you to all that made the trek to Bazaruto and the Azores this past season to share another epic one…

Mark and Wendy Davis also on their first trip to Bazaruto in November 2025 were a pleasure to meet and fish with – what lovely people & amazing couple.

Chris Rance (below) experienced a phenomenal Blue Marlin bite during his early October trip to Bazaruto to fish with us aboard Vamizi7.jpg

Wolfgang & the gang from WHBO have made a number of trips to the archipelago and of course they were back for last year’s epic season. I think it was the first trip that Wolfgang himself as not caught a fish of 500 or better but the guys still had a great trip and enjoyed an amazing lunch at the always delicious Tabua by Nene (the best Mozambican grilled chicken  & fried crab in the World & surrounding areas)

Peter Karras & Andre had experienced some mind blowing fishing on their first trip with us releasing 7 out of 9 bites in 4 fishing days. Unfortunately this last November they were unlucky to come and fish while we had a horrible cold front low pressure system with torrential rain making for very difficult conditions.11.jpg

Nick Chalk & the gang (here at paradise Island) have enjoyed various trips to Bazaruto’s heavy tackle season but the lads from the UK had not been here for a few years but finally made it back in late November 2025.

They had another fantastic week and ended up with a great fish – 800 pound Black Marlin!

And a very shout and best wishes for all the other Captains out there day in and day out and sharing this legend of a place…

Looking forward to doing it all again with you all in in 2026!

It was great to fish and see Jamie and Ann Nancie, the World Wanderers that made a long stop to stay and fish with us last October… Ann showing how it’s done with a stubby Bazaruto Black Marlin!!!

From the Fishbazaruto team – have a great 2026 everyone and hopefully see you later in the year for some fishing action at the Bazaruto Archipelago…
